John H. Guelcher, CPA, is a partner in K2S. He is a member of the firm’s Quality Control and Inspection Committee, which is responsible for ensuring that all accounting and auditing engagements are performed in accordance with appropriate professional standards.
John started his career as Assistant Control at University Hospitals of Cleveland in 1963. He has been in public accounting since 1968 and has devoted most of his efforts to accounting and auditing services. He has served governmental and nonprofit clients throughout his career.
John received his BS in accounting in 1963 from Gannon University, his MBA from Case Western University in 1968, and is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. John has been active on a variety of boards and councils and has held the position of president in the Erie Chapter of the PICPA and a national association of accounting firms, INPACT Americas.
John currently serves as the Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Technology Council of Northwest PA. He has served as a member of the Board of Governors and as treasurer for the Kahkwa Club. He has held leadership positions in St. Peter Cathedral, on the parish council; in the Cathedral Association of Parents and Educators, as president; and in INPACT Americas, as president and a member of the board of directors. John has taught continuing education courses for the AICPA and has spoken before several professional and trade organizations.
