Federal Funding

One-stop shopping for federal funding

Not-for-profits can now research, access and apply for federal grants at Grants.gov, a Web site where all federal grant-making agencies post funding opportunities. Once visitors register with the site, they can search for grants from among $400 billion in funds offered by 26 federal agencies.

To register, users are required to:

  • Request a Data Universal Numbering System number,
  • Register with the Central Contractor Registry,
  • Authorize their organization's representatives, and
  • Log in as an e-business point of contact.

Once this is completed, your nonprofit can sign up for e-mail alerts about grant opportunities and access helpful resources such as a "Tips and Tools" section and how-to articles.
