Easier Navigation on IRS Web site

The IRS has redesigned its Web site (www.irs.gov). The site has new navigation buttons for charities and nonprofits, individuals and businesses, among others, allowing visitors to jump from the home page directly to the area they're interested in.

In addition, searches can now be conducted by keyword and in more intuitive ways. For instance, there is less technical precision required in the keyword searches, making the site easier for a layperson to use.

Other changes of interest to not-for-profits include:

  • A most requested forms and publications" section on the home page. The most popular documents are available with one click.
  • The "charities and nonprofits" page features current news of interest to exempt organizations, and shortcuts to popular resources and topics.
